Refund and Payment Error Policy

Contributions are generally non-refundable; how payment errors are reviewed.
On this page
1. The general rule
Voluntary contributions are generally non-refundable once successfully processed. Because a contribution is a voluntary gift of support and does not buy a product or service, a change of mind is not, by itself, a reason for a refund.
This does not limit any right you have under applicable law, any protection for unauthorised transactions, or the rules of the payment provider, your bank or card network.
2. Payments we will review
Contact support so the matter can be reviewed if a payment was:
- unauthorised — you did not make or approve it;
- duplicated — the same contribution was charged more than once;
- processed incorrectly — for example a different amount from the one you confirmed; or
- affected by a demonstrable processing error — for example money was debited but the contribution shows as failed and was not reversed.
Any refund, reversal, or other remedy will be handled in accordance with applicable law and the payment provider's requirements. Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method through the payment provider; the time it takes to appear depends on your bank. Your contribution history then shows “Refunded” or “Partly refunded”.
3. Pending, failed and cancelled payments
- Pending: the provider has not confirmed the payment yet. Do not pay again — it updates automatically, or use “Check status” in your history.
- Failed or cancelled: the contribution was not completed. If money was nevertheless debited, it is normally reversed by the payment provider or your bank; if it is not, contact us.
- Under review / disputed: the payment provider is reviewing the payment, for example after a chargeback request.
4. How to ask for a review
Email [email protected] from the address on your QFinera account and include:
- the payment reference shown in Your contributions (it looks like pay_…1234), the date and the amount;
- what went wrong (unauthorised, duplicate, wrong amount or another error) and any evidence, such as a bank statement line.
Never send your full card number, CVV, UPI PIN or passwords. We will acknowledge your request, check it with the payment provider and tell you the outcome. If you believe a payment was unauthorised, also contact your bank or card issuer promptly.
5. Chargebacks
You may raise a dispute with your bank or card issuer where the law or the network rules allow it. Please contact us as well so we can help resolve it quickly.
